Trinitas 2

Some more pictures of our tour and some fresh coconut! Also a pic of the seminarians in the city of Naga

Trinitas

Image
We have a beautiful place called Trinitas that is a house of contemplation and healing center. It is so peaceful there and so simple, I know you'll like these pictures. We took a little tour of the place before the Assembly started. It was great.

Sr. Jessa's home 2

Image
More pics of Sr. Jessa's place and the boats we took to get back. The boat would stop off shore and wait for the passengers who travel in another little boat to get out to the bigger one. They would also load cargo (coconut shells, coal, scrap metal) from these smaller boats to the bigger one, that is what is in the sacks.

Sr. Jessa's home

Image
We visited Sr. Jessa's home in the village of Bugabawan. Her village is about 3 hours away by boat from the mainland. So here are some pics of the boat we took, her village, and the beautiful scenery.

Cagsaua

Image
These are the Cagsaua ruins. You can read the sign for exact detail but when the Mayon Volcano erupted many years ago, it literally buried a church full of people, only leaving the bell tower and top of the rectory as evidence of location. Sr. Helen (l) and Sr. Jessa are standing in front of the bell tower.

Finally!

Sorry for the delay of new pictures. I am working on them and will post them as they are edited! This first batch is some pre-assembly fun in Misibis, a little beach on the coast of Bicol-a region of the Philippines. You can also see the Mayon Volcano also (the top is shrouded in clouds) but it began to erupt a bit while we were there!
Thanks be to God that we made it back safely to the U.S.! Pics to come soon!
God bless you all! I have no access to the internet to post my pics so I guess they will have to wait. Our community is beginning to gather here in Legaspi City, the Bicol region of the Philippines. This has been an amazing experience, I hope the pictures, when posted, can tell a little bit of the story. Until then.... God's peace and joy to you all
here's the other croc video!! lol! like i said, don't try this at home!! I am in the Philippines now and will go to the islands this week. hope to post some pics soon so come back again and check! God bless you! Pray for us all here!

The amazing crocodile carriers, my "crocdile charming" skills (see? I put him to sleep) and a mid-day snack. (no i didn't really, don't worry)

Crocodile Farm 2

Image
okay, one of the videos isn't working, I'll try again later. Here are some other pics you may like better ;) They asked me to wrestle some of the crocodiles before I could leave, I only had to choose which ones.....so I chose the ones below ;) I think they are a few weeks old!! tough, huh??

Crocodile Farm

We went to a crocodile farm today on the outskirts of Bangkok. It was home to 60,000 crocodiles and some various other animals. Call me wimpy but I just mostly felt sorry for the animals! It was a memorable experience. I am posting 2 videos of the crocodile/man act. You may not like them, since these guys are kind of crazy but at any rate, no one was eaten. ;) DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!!!

Bangkok Take 3

Image
More pics of the Palace, one of the kids at the Golden Palace, our hot pink taxi (i loved that) and you know i couldn't resist finding another Starbucks on film! (I had no idea how many Starbucks there really were....) ;)

Bangkok

This is the Golden Temple

Welcome to Bangkok

Image
Here we are in Bangkok! It's HOT here!! wow. We were caught in the rain yesterday but today is sunny and well, warm. We visited the King's Palace and yesterday and the Golden Temple. I was amazed at the detail of the temples, how ornate they were and how much care had been put into decorating them. There are also some pics of the city that I'll include. God bless you! (look for the driver's "cup of tea" in the first pic!)
